hi everyone. this is stefan from projectlifemastery.com. in this video, i am going to walk you through step-by-step how to get a logo designed for your product, your business, your brand or whatever it is you might need a logo for. in this video, i am going to show you specifically how to get a logo designed by using 99designs. 99designs is the go to website that i've used throughout the past few years to get logos designed for my products, my business or whatever it might be. the great thing with 99designs is what you're doing is you're essentially hosting a contest online where you will be able to attract a lot of really talented graphic designers that will submit
their concept to you on the website, and you'll be able to provide feedback, pick and choose out of many different concepts which i find to be very valuable and very important in getting a logo designed. with 99designs, it does cost a little bit more money to get a logo designed as opposed to going just to maybe an individual graphics designer that you might be able to find inexpensively online, but the challenge that i found just by going to one graphics designer, is that you're only getting really one concept, whereas by using 99designs, you're attracting many different graphics designers, you're getting a lot of different ideas and concepts that you can pick and choose from and you can even have your
friends and other people that you might know provide feedback on the logos. i'm actually right now in the process of designing a new logo for a new product that i'm creating called affiliate marketing mastery. i've already mentioned this in previous video blogs about this online training program that i'm developing a new product, that's going to help people get started making money online with affiliate marketing. i thought you know what? as part of this video series i want to be transparent with you guys, i am going to show you guys the process of getting the logo designed, and i'm probably going to even reach out to you guys ask for a feedback on the logo concepts that are submitted, and have you guys vote and
maybe pick the log for me. stay tuned to the end of this video, you'll learn a little bit more about that and i'll share a little bit more about the logos that i get created and ask for your feedback on it. here i am at 99designs and i need a logo done. i've already signed up for an account that i've been using for a while now. click on get started and 99designs by the way is great for a lot of different stuff. you can get web designs, tons of different graphic stuff done, but i'm just going to pick a logo design. they start at $299 which might seem like a lot, but i've always viewed it as worth it because i think the logo is very important in representing your brand and
your product. can help sell the product and brand as well. you don't want to cheap out when it comes to a logo. invest in quality. the great thing with 99designs is they are going to ask me some questions to help identify the style that i like. they have some examples of different designs that i might like that i can pick and choose from, to help identify my style. i've already actually picked a bunch already, but you can basically just pick and choose which ones you like. i've already done this already. they've got in different in logo designs that you can pick and choose and they're just going to again help identify what style that you like.
now i can filter the style a little bit more. this is very helpful with providing this information to graphics designers, because it will help them design what it is you want. i like more modern designs. i'd say more in between mature and youthful, because i wanted the logo to be somehow professional. i don't want it just to be childish or like a cartoon sort of thing. masculine and feminine i'll put even because my demographic is both 50/50. playful or sophisticated. you know what? i think i don't know playful would really work for affiliate marketing mastery. i'm going to go a little bit more sophisticated. economical or luxurious, i'm going to go a little bit luxurious, because i want it to represent something of quality, something that is
high-end which i aim for with all the products that i create and i am going to leave these ones more in the middle. hit continue. it's going to ask colors to explore. pick up the 3 colors a slightly blue here and each color has different meaning to it. blue is more knowledge, trust, calm and honesty. this aquas color is empathy, compassion, clarity and precision. green is growth, harmony and success. purple is imagination, spirituality, royalty and luxury. pink, reds let's see. i think i like the black and i'm just going to select let designer make suggestion and blue. those are the main colors. i wouldn't mind green as well but i can only choose three.
let's just ... you know what? i'll select green here. continue and by the way, that right there is just showing the meaning of different colors. that's really valuable right there. a lot of people don't realize that when creating a logo or a website, how depending on the product or whatever your brand is about, you want the right colors to reflect that. very important. background information so that the name that i want on the logo is affiliate marketing mastery. by the way i got the domain for this as well. if you want to be actually on the waiting list for it by the way, just go to affiliatemarketingmastery.com. i'll notify you when the program is actually ready. describe what your organization or product does and its
target audience. step-by-step online video training program to teach people how to make money online with affiliate marketing. target audience is men and women of all ages interested in learning how to get started making money online. industry, there is a lot of different ones but i just pick business and consulting. i don't have a slogan for this, maybe i'll think of one later or if you guys have ideas leave a comment. love to know your thoughts on maybe a good slogan. you can actually add all the stuff later too. you can actually change it if you want. do you need more than one logo? no, i'm just going to start with the basic logo. anything else
i'd like to communicate to the designer? this is really useful if you have other examples of logos that you like that you can provide, but what i like to do is i like to put in my contest out there and see what i get. you know like i i don't want limit the designers too much because maybe they're going to come up with something amazing i never thought of that they might submit and i might be blown away by that. if i start giving them a lot of examples, they're going to try to make a logo look like that, and i want really in the beginning just to receive as many different concepts as possible so that i can pick and choose and decide from there and then i can narrow it down later.
cool, i have 100% money back guarantee too which is awesome. continue and i can always add more and update this later. which design package do i want? let's see here. the cheapest is 299 and you'll get about 30 designs, good designers, money back guarantee. i think in the past i've done silver and gold. i don't think i've ever done bronze. gold is most popular, let's see. you can basically get more designs. as i mentioned 99designs works, is just like a contest. the more money that you put up, then more designers you are going to attract to the contest, because there is more incentive for designers to submit their concept. gold is good to attract more expert designers, because you are
going to attract the higher quality designers as opposed to the bronze. they're really good designers. they're going to be like 300 bucks is not worthwhile to them, so they're probably not going to be that invested in that. i'll probably go with gold for this one, because i really want expert designers. although the design i'm looking for is not sophisticated really. i'm actually looking for something a little bit more simpler, but i think i will go with gold and then there is platinum as well which is only the best. i'll go with gold. contest title. this is what's going to attract people to the contest. how about let's see, write a descriptive contest title to attract more designers.
design the new affiliate marketing mastery logo. i can't really think of anything really captivating right now. i'm just going to put that for now. promoting it, costs more money to promote it. they have a list of people. i've never promoted it before in the past, so i'm just going to use the basics they have, but if you really want to attract more designers, then they have extra packages and incentives for that. guaranteeing the contest, i found this the very important. when you basically guarantee the contest, you can't get your money back. there is no money back guarantee, but when you guarantee it, you'll get way more designers, because they know that the money is guaranteed. when you don't guarantee it, you will have people that will submit concepts but they not going to be that invested, because
you can back out at any time. you can ask for your money back if you don't see anything that you like. when you guarantee it, then designers know, they know for sure that you're serious and that you're more likely to pick them and to earn money from it. what i did in the past several years ago as i didn't guarantee a contest and i talked to 99designs i was like hey guys, i'm not that happy with what i'm getting. the designs are not that high quality, but they say you want to guarantee it if you really want to be serious and attract the serious designers. ever since i did that, and i've done that many times since, i've always gotten way more high-quality
designs and way more designers. i find this to be a must, don't go at 99... designs ... you got to go all in if you want the logo done. you want something of quality. just guarantee it, that's what i found to be very important and you will get something you're happy with. 99designs is actually really helpful. i remember for me they extended the contest and they actually i think before they even highlight, they added some extra bonuses for free for me. if you're not happy, they'll help you out which is really cool. blind contest. this is something that is important for some designers. i had
this one designer one time. he wanted me to put it blind because he did want the other designers to copy their ideas, and some designers submit really amazing concepts and if they can see other people's work and the feedback that you're giving, then a lot of designers won't like that and they are not going to submit their best work. i usually make it a blind contest. let's see, invitation only, no. private contest, no. white-label, no. again these are other options. again if you're interested in it, but i think i'm good. 7 days, that's a good period of time. continue. the next
part is to put in your credit card information and all your details so you can order so i'm just going to put that in right now. that's it. payment has been done. they're going to email the receipt to me. i'm going to hit continue. congrats on launching the contest. they have some information here. there is different rounds. there's first the qualifying round and everything. as you receive concepts, you basically get feedback on the different concepts and logos that you're receiving. you're going to basically be able to say what you like, what you don't like and rate each logo that you're getting and you can even basically ignore certain logos as well and then you're going to pick which
ones after 4 days go on to the next round. which designers, which concepts you like move on to the next round. then you are going to select the final list. you can pick up the 6 designers to continue working on the final round and then you get to the final round. the final round is basically where you choose the winner. there is a lot of back and forth in the process of getting a logo designed, because you're always giving feedback and all that, but basically you pick and choose, you select the winner, the design that you like the most. the great thing is, before i get to that point, i'm want to get to the final rounds and stuff. i'll put up maybe
another youtube video and ask you guys for feedback. i'll let you guys vote as well which design or which concept you like the most, and that will help me move forward as well. once i pick the final winner, then they're going to send me the files. they'll send me all the different files and everything for the logo, and that's basically it. right now there is no designs. i may have to wait maybe by the end of today or tomorrow i should have a lot of different concepts, but within four days is when i receive the most logos. i'll continue this video by showing some of the different concepts and logos that come up as well as an additional video as well that will
share the final logo that i get designed and what i pick. this is part two of this video on creating a logo with 99designs for affiliate marketing mastery. it's now been a week since i created the original part of this video showing how to create the contest with 99designs. over the last week, as you can see here i had over 487 design concepts that have been submitted for affiliate marketing mastery for my logo. i have been very busy the last week going through all of these concepts and giving feedback on each one of them. i also invited a lot of other designers to my contest, which is another option the 99designs provide. for example, you can
find other designers, discover them, and you can send them a message and invite them to your contest. you can invite up to 50 people a day. i probably invited like 100 plus people to my contest just because i wanted even more designers, more concepts, more ideas that i can utilize. right now i'm in the qualifying round. there's different rounds of your contest. the first one is just anybody can submit their concept, and then you are going to select six finalists. that's the phase that i'm in right now. selected six different designers that i like. i like the concept that they came up and now i'm just continuing for the next two days or so just going over their designs and giving more
feedback. what i'm going to be doing, is i'm going to be creating a poll. you create polls right here and i am going to basically pick maybe the top three, top four, top five, top six designs and i'm going to make it available on my youtube channel, my blog, on my email list, and i'm going to ask people for feedback. i want to ask you guys from the poll and have you guys vote on which logo that you like best, so that i can get your input and that will be the logo that i'll decide to go forward with for affiliate marketing mastery. that will be in another video, but let me just show you some of the concepts and how to get feedback on them. these are some of the latest ones that have been submitted. this is the
designer, this guy right here and he's just giving me a bunch of different variations which i love because you just get so many different ideas, different fonts and everything. the main concept ... i'll show you just a few, the main concept i'm going for is basically having a laptop, because a laptop can represent the internet lifestyle, the laptop lifestyle, being able to travel, being able to have freedom. playing around with having like palm trees or something like that too. i'm not totally sold on that yet and having dollar signs or money or something like that in the laptop. that's
going to be interesting concept as well. we're playing around with that a little bit more, but you can see these ones here have a laptop and the palm trees. here is another one. different concept a laptop and palm trees. i might get rid of the palm tree though. affiliate marketing mastery. there's a lot to choose from. that's the challenge. here is another cool one. has a keyboard with a money sign. let's see and some people it's cool what they can do with logos and stuff. here is a cool one. it's got a laptop with money and there is like an airplane around. i really like the font on this one too. you can see that you can give feedback so you can either eliminate the design if you don't like
it at all. you pick how many stars and you can leave comments and give them feedback. these people are like machines when it comes to graphics design and logo design, because i'll give them feedback and in like two hours later, they're going to have like five more concepts and deliver on the feedback. they're really motivated to win the contest which i love, because i hate working with graphics people that take forever, they're unresponsive, they're unreliable. here you have a lot more options. here is a similar one. the airplane is there, the palm tree is there. here is another one the laptop, palm tree. i got a lot of different options.
these are the main one we've been narrowing down so far. there is one here it's it's a little bit more simple. i'm not sure of that one as much… this one has got like a money bag although i'm not sure. that's not the main thing of what the program is about. a lot of different concepts, different colors. i wish i can show you guys the like 400 plus that i've gotten, but these are the best ones that i've liked so far, and like i said i'd do another video and send out a poll for you guys to vote and give feedback and what i narrow it down to even further. i'm going to continue giving feedback, but i love to get you guys' feedback as keep your eyes up for the next video from me asking for your feedback and to
vote on which logo that you like best, but in a nutshell, that's how 99designs works. i've been more than satisfied with it. i've got a lot of great concepts and logos, and the great thing with 99designs is that they really take good care of their customers. if you aren't totally happy with what you're getting let them know, and they'll actually promote even further for you. they'll give you some extra upgrades and features. they'll extend your contest for more people to submit their designs and concepts and what not. they'll really help you out that's why i recommend them and had such a good positive experience with them. that's 99designs guys.
